Advent Of Code - A coding challenge done every year in December with a new task every day and increasing difficulty.
Project Euler - A series of increasingly hard maths problems that can only be solved using programming knowledge.
Python Challenges (Christ Church College, Oxford) - A series of questions designed to stretch year 12 students’ knowledge beyond their school curriculum.
BBC Micro:bit - A mini computer (the school already has access to) that can be used for a series of different mini projects that relate to and go beyond the specification.
Royal Institution Masterclasses - masterclasses in maths, engineering and CS.
Cyber Discovery - an extracurricular cyber security learning programme for Y10–13 students from across England.
LeetCode - an online platform for coding interview preparation whice provides coding and algorithmic problems intended for users to practice coding.

National competitions that students can get involved with.

The British Informatics Olympiad (winter) - national competition in computing for schools and colleges.
UK Bebras (4th - 15th November 2024) - competition that introduces computational thinking to students. Each participant has 45 minutes to tackle a series of interactive tasks, designed to encourage logical thinking and problem-solving skills appropriate for their age group.
